Michael Sheen will be playing Salieri in a new production of the Peter Shaffer play Amadeus, opening in December at the Sydney Opera House, Australia. news.com.au published an interview with Michael.

“There’s a lot of what people call ‘mission drift’ that can happen to artists. Most people get into something like acting or music or writing or whatever it is because of the pure joy and satisfaction and meaning that there is in doing it, for no other reason. But once it becomes your job, and it’s how you pay the bills and put food on the table, then it can change over time, why you do things. So you should be checking in with where you are and why you’re doing it, and is this still meaningful to you? And to be as honest as you can about that with yourself.”
