Michael Sheen spoke at Beyond 2022, a research and development conference for the creative industries, which took place in Cardiff in October. He was joined by Future Generations Commissioner Sophie Howe and the session was chaired by Sara Pepper, Professor of Creative Economy at Cardiff University.
The discussion was about the role of the creative industries in sustainability and building the future, telling stories that tackle issues, ensuring that barriers are removed to enable us to hear from voices that have been traditionally under-represented, nurturing talent in young people earlier and creating pathways, and also being connected to the past and Welsh culture. Michael mentions his project A Writing Chance, and also Staged and Raymond Williams.
