On 30 May 2022 a pre-recorded talk by Michael Sheen was shown at the Cambridge Theatre in Soho, London as part of a TEDx event. In July that year a video, featuring beautiful animation, was made available on YouTube.
Titled “Levelling the Cultural Playing Field”, the talk was about how the pathways and support Michael received as a young person are no longer available to people wanting to get into the arts, about how important it is to have true representation in the media allowing us to hear the voices of those who traditionally don’t get heard, and about how he created the project A Writing Chance.
