In July 2019, @sheen365 on Twitter started a challenge to ask Michael Sheen one question every day for a year. Michael very kindly answered a large number of them, and when the challenge was completed in July 2020, the account decided to continue the fun into the next year.
You can propose a question at any time by posting to this thread.
This page shows every question that Michael responded to in year 3, in reverse date order.
Also see year 1, year 2, year 4 and year 5
I’ve written a couple of things – a few short films as well as a film about Edgar Allan Poe and one about the Green River Killer. Would like to do more soon. It’s all consuming and incredibly frustrating at times but I really enjoy it.

Almost every day during comprehensive school I had a cone of chips and a blue slush puppy for lunch.

I really enjoyed trying to do the equivalent of Les Dawson playing piano really badly but with football.

I love the change I’ve seen happen for people here. The care and concern and generosity. I love the action I’ve seen taken. The friendship. The hand offered when someone drops. The words of strength when someone feels weak. Every day is a fight one way or another. Stand together.

Not sure about wiser – only in sense of a fool who now knows he’s a fool. So many times this has happened. In fact to the point where I’ve realized that the natural state seems to be flux and any rigidity of thought, belief etc attracts its own destruction.

Jeff sitting at his mixing desk and isolating different parts from the original recordings and talking me through how he came up with them. It was like heaven for me. Also listening to him playing the main theme on the piano in his studio. Brought me to tears. Such a lovely man.

Like Arthur, it sits in the dark, awaiting the moment it is most needed and then it shall return.

It’s usually extremely sweet. Like syrup. It’s not uncomfortable really. Although I remember being covered in it in the Sahara desert for Four Feathers and being covered by flies attracted to it.

And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.”

@JimTheKingBrown sang the best rendition of Song To The Siren I’ve ever heard and I won’t likely change my mind.

Bill Masters was difficult because there was so much going on underneath the surface but he kept it hidden. And knowing when to show and how much is the big challenge. And for what reason. I suppose those are the hardest types of characters. For me at least.
