A Writing Chance is a project created and co-funded by Michael Sheen which aims to help new writers and journalists from under-represented and lower-income backgrounds have their voices heard and their stories told.
On 29 June 2021 Michael announced the 11 writers chosen to receive bursaries, mentoring and more to help them break into the creative industries.
Visit the project website for more information, and also to find resources for budding writers, including free courses: AWritingChance.co.uk
Michael was interviewed on Mariella Frostrup’s show on Times Radio about the project, as well as Under Milk Wood, giving away his own money to support causes he believes in, his ability to portray contradictory characters, Kenneth Williams, Staged, and how David Tennant is ‘the best he ever had’.
