The White Curl

The White Curl is a Michael Sheen fandom project that fundraises for Michael’s chosen charities and causes. It’s named after his wavy forelock of white hair, and was set up by two fans as a way to spread kindness, share fan art and fundraise at the same time.

In 2020 they raised over £14,000 for organisations such as Welsh homelessness charity Llamau, and Thrive Women’s Aid.

The project has more than 40 contributing artists, and new items are released each month featuring their artwork, including pins, notebooks, postcards, magnets, t-shirts and more. These items are available in exchange for a donation to one of the named charities.

Current campaign

For Michael’s birthday on 5 February 2021, a Staged-themed campaign was launched featuring very special guest artists: Anna Lundberg, Georgia Tennant, David Tennant and Michael himself. It broke all The White Curl’s previous fundraising records, raising £15,000 in the first 8 hours.
